We are seeking a bilingual, part-time receptionist/office assistant to begin in May 2023. Duties include:- Answering the phone and receiving clients at the office;- Assisting clients by phone to provide case updates, and address questions and concerns;- Conducting new client intakes and scheduling appointments;- General office duties such as mailing, scanning and filing;- Occasional document translation from Spanish to English (add'l commission paid);- Running occasional errands (Staples, post office, etc.).Job requirements:- Applicants MUST be strongly proficient in both English and Spanish. Applicants who do not speak Spanish will not be considered for this position.- Applicant must have their own method of transportation to arrive at work on time and run occasional errands.Our ideal candidate is:- Interested in serving the local immigrant community;- Able to interact with clients in a professional and empathetic manner to further build relationships of trust;- Has strong organizational skills and pays attention to detail;- Able to work independently in a sometimes fast-paced, but casual, supportive and inclusive office environment;- Proficient in using Apple devices, Gmail, Google calendar, and Word;- A resident of Johns Island or surrounding area.No legal experience is required for this position; we will train. However, previous office and/or customer service experience is a plus. The hours are 10am-5pm from Monday to Thursday. The position would require in-person work at our Johns Island office on most days, although some remote work can be negotiated after training is complete.
